Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19th, 1965. She is an American producer and actress. She is best known for her part as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The seventh season of the series ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick got an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish, and she has said that she participates in Passover seders.
