Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was a speaker, investor, and businesswoman from the United America. The Corcoran Group, an NY-based real estate broker, was founded by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran then left the company. Corcoran was among the original Shark Tank investors. She has appeared in every season of ABC's Shark Tank. Corcoran had signed 53 contracts as of February 2020. The biggest deal she signed was her investment of $350,000 in Coverplay with a 40% stake. Corcoran was the second of 10 children from a family of Irish Catholics who worked hard, was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. Florence Corcoran was Florence's mom and a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. Her father was always changing jobs during Corcoran’s life. In times, her family relied on the delivery of food that was free from a friendly local grocer. Corcoran says her father was drunk who was rude to her mother and sarcastic remarks. Corcoran had difficulty at school and later found out she was dyslexic. Corcoran was a student at a Catholic elementary school in her community and began the high school year in St. Cecilia High School, Englewood. Corcoran dropped several classes during her first year, and then transferred to Leonia High School where she was a D student.
